Volunteers needed! Sept. 2013

THE PLEYEL ENSEMBLE

September 2013

Dear friends,

Planning for our Sunday afternoon tea concerts at Alderley Edge Methodist Church is well under way and we are very pleased to have been able to commission our first piece of artwork from Middlewich artist and illustrator, Ian Hill-Smith, which appears on the front of our new publicity flyers. We now have many hours more work ahead of us distributing these and would love to hear from you if you know of anywhere that would take a few, or even better, display one in a shop window, church or on a community noticeboard.

Our next urgent request is a plea for help with the practical side of the concerts themselves. We need to build up a list and rota of kindly volunteers who would be willing to be called upon to do any of the tasks below:

·        Collect ticket money/give out programmes.
·        Make and serve tea after the concert.
·        Help clear and wash up.
·        Bake cakes &/or biscuits!

Naturally any help would be rewarded with free entry to the concert. Do let us know as soon as you can if you feel able to assist us in any way. Just a quick reminder of the dates. More details by clicking here!:

3pm Sept 29th : Tea & Trout
3pm November 3rd : Violin & piano
3pm February 23rd : Flute favourites
3pm March 30th : Clarinet trios by Brahms & Nino Rota

Hoping to see you there!

Best wishes,
Harvey and Heather
