Today’s programme includes Schubert’s glorious ‘Shepherd on the Rock’ for soprano, clarinet and piano as well as his 2nd Sonata for violin and piano in A minor, D. 385. John McCabe’s beautiful folk song settings for the same line-up as ‘the Shepherd’ make for a perfect contrast, and we are delighted that Rosa Sparks (sop) and Janet Hilton (cl) will join Sarah and Harvey for the first programme of 2025.
